Bio: Ellen Huang

January 30, 2009

ellenEllen Huang was first introduced to yoga in 2003 in a hot, sweaty, power yoga class of over one hundred practitioners in Santa Monica, CA.  In the midst of this crowd, she discovered calm in challenge and breath in movement.  Since then, her practice and her classes continue to evolve with mindfulness to detail, alignment, breath and prana. Her classes are greatly influenced by her teacher Alison West, who’s alignment-based methods give her the tools to create safe and smart sequencing, and the incredible teachers of Tibetan Heart Yoga and the Asian Classics Institute in the lineage of Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christy McNally.  She loves her practice and hopes to share the peace, strength, and joy she has discovered in herself and the world through the discipline of yoga.  www.viryayoga.org
