Jeb Colwell is a 200-hour certified Kripalu yoga teacher and is excited about sharing this lesser-known yoga style with his fellow New Yorkers. Kripalu (Sanskrit for “compassion”) is a form of yoga that cultivates “witness consciousness” or self-observation without judgment, aligning body, mind and spirit. Classes begin with warm-up movements and breath awareness to prepare you for yoga postures. The heart of each class is a sequence of postures that stretch, strengthen, and balance your body. Each class ends with deep relaxation and meditation. Students of all levels may practice simultaneously as Kripalu yoga allows the individual to explore his or her own edges.
