Bio: Meera Jain
Meera Jain started practicing in New York City, where she fell in love with the unification aspects of yoga and its transformative healing powers. Looking for a deeper understanding into the system of yoga, she jumped in with two feet and left her corporate job in New York City for Mysore, India, where she studied with the living founder of Ashtanga Yoga, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and his grandson, Sharath Rangaswamy. Her extended time at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute led her to Yoga Thailand in Koh Samui, where she completed her Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training under the guidance of Paul Dallaghan and Neil Barker. She teaches Ashtanga and Vinyasa classes that are filled with laughter, deep belly breathing and dynamic alignment. Meera is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and believes that life can be best experienced when we follow our intuition and passions with an open heart and mind.
