The First Annual Open House and Autumn Benefit Party at Sangha!
Pause for a moment, and think intently about it…how many communities do you belong to? It’s not often that we explore this question deeply, especially since on the surface there are obvious choices (I am a member of the Brooklyn community, I belong to my family’s community, I am part of my office’s community). But from the moment you wake up in the morning to the time your lights flicker off at night, you are a member of many, overlapping, functioning communities that you may not even be aware of. You are a member of a community of loyal customers at your coffee shop. You are frequently participating in the community of L train riders. If you’re listening to the Rolling Stones, you’ve chosen a community there as well. And you carry your own unique energy from one community to the next, so each group is connected, through you and because of you.
In Sanskrit, the word sangha roughly translates to mean community with a common goal, vision or purpose. With this in mind, Sangha Yoga Shala invites you to our Open House and Autumn Party. Join staff, teachers and fellow students for an evening full of music, food, yoga, giveaways, and more. As a community of yogis and yoginis, it’s just a simple way of bringing us together and carrying on Sangha’s mission to better serve you through healing, inspiration, creativity and fun. It’s our intention that you find these offerings (and more) at Sangha so that you can serve your communities with the same passion and mindfulness.
Communities sustain us and unite us. Thanks for being a part of the Sangha Yoga Shala community! Om Shanti.
